Its pedigree comes from two recognized regions of Brazil - Cerrado and Alta Mogiana - places that for decades have shaped the canon of Arabica coffee taste, known and appreciated around the world.
The Cerrado region, located on the plateaus of Minas Gerais, was the first in the coffee world to be granted restricted-origin status - along with renowned wine regions. The unique microclimate plays a key role here: hot and humid summers promote even ripening of the fruit, while dry winters ensure a repeatable harvest and a clean sensory profile. Alta Mogiana, on the other hand, features higher hills and cooler nights, which bring out the sweetness and velvety texture of the grains. It is from these plantations that our bean coffee comes, roasted with attention to every detail at Sochaccy Artisan Coffee Roasters.
Brazil Select Chocolate was created from Mundo Novo and Catuai varieties - the fundamental representatives of Brazilian Arabica coffee. The beans were processed using the natural method, which means drying the whole fruit in the sun. Such a process promotes the intense development of sweet, chocolatey notes. Even after grinding, you'll smell aromas of cocoa butter and dark chocolate, and the cup is dominated by chocolate and nut accents with a velvety, creamy finish. It's a coffee with a full body and low acidity - created as an espresso coffee, ideal for both espresso and cappuccino.
The sensory rating of this coffee is 83 SCA points - a very good score for coffees of regional origin, confirming its class and stability. In cupping profiles, it stands out for its balance, purity and natural sweetness, making it a great everyday coffee, as well as an excellent component for blends. Brazil has maintained a leadership position in world coffee production for years - and for good reason. Beans such as these make up its reputation.
