We decided to sign the coffee with our name to emphasize the uniqueness of the coffee offered at the Sochaccy Coffee Roasters store. In the veritable deluge of Brazilian coffee from this region, there are very diverse offerings. When creating the Brazilian Santos Sochaccy coffee, we focused on offering the pearl of the region, a classic Brazilian coffee that is synonymous with mildness and softness. It was coffees from the Santos region that made Brazilian coffee beans famous around the world.
The port of Santos, from where coffees from the Sao Paulo region are exported, was the first coffee-growing stronghold in Brazil, and it was in this region that Francisco de Melo Palheta planted the first coffee tree in 1727, which by 1830 had already made coffee Brazil's most important export product. So, as Frank Sinatra sang in "Coffee Song".
Due to its climate diversity and location, Brazil has particularly favourable conditions for growing arabica coffee, defined as a mild coffee without noticeable acidity. Plantations at relatively low altitudes, from 400 to 1,600 meters above sea level, produce coffee beans that have soft toffee or milk chocolate notes in the cup. Thanks to the knowledge and organisation of farmers and the favourable growing conditions in Brazil, we can offer you coffee of exceptional value for money. It is also worth remembering that Santos Sochaccy Brazilian coffee is the perfect coffee to start your adventure with both Brazilian coffee and more widely with freshly roasted coffees. Brazilian coffee, straight from the roaster, is the best way to start the day gently, but also a great choice for the afternoon. Because everyone is different and has different tastes, we offer coffees in three roast levels so that you can highlight the desired flavor notes in your coffee. When describing the flavor notes of a coffee, we always rate the medium roast because it's the best balance between notes specific to the coffee's origin and the soft, sweet notes in the coffee. The flavor notes we describe to you are always in the coffee - we do not use any flavor additives or enhancers.
The coffee comes from bush arabica varieties Bourbon, Typica, Caturra. In a cup of coffee Brazil Santos Sochaccy dominates notes of milk chocolate, honey and nuts. The coffee is characterized by a full body. Coffee with low acidity and soft finish.
Coffee is consumed in Brazil the way tea is consumed in Poland, hence the popularity of small artisanal coffee roasters as well as local coffee shops. The Brazilian cannot imagine a meal without coffee. Coffee accompanies a Brazilian at all three meals of the day. Coffee is drunk in small, thick cups. Coffee in Brazil is always black, strong and hot. Cafe in Portuguese is practically synonymous with "welcome". Wherever you find yourself in Brazil, you will already hear the question cafezinho from the door? And very often, without any response on your part, a tiny filigree cup of little black will appear on your table.
Here is a recipe for a traditional Brazilian cafezinho, passed down from generation to generation. In Warsaw we have a customer who comes from Brazil and shared with us his recipe for preparing coffee the Brazilian way.
a glass of water
3 capfuls of freshly ground Brazilian Santos coffee
A little sugar to taste
Add the coffee to the water and mix everything well in a pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then and pour through a strainer. Pour directly into a cup, add sugar.
Enjoy!
