Coffee from Colombia
Colombia Excelso Hacienda Monaco - one of Colombia's finest coffees. Ranked among the top coffees in the world, perfectly balanced, low acidity. This coffee has a mild, full-bodied flavor with a subtle caramel aroma.
No one actually knows when coffee first arrived in Colombia, some believe the first seedlings were brought by Jesuit monks in the 17th century. The first official shipment of Colombian coffee sailed for the United States in 1835. Since 1860, export duties have become the main provider of money for the Colombian government's budget.
Colombia is the second largest coffee producer in the world and also the world's largest producer of quality Arabica. The countries to which most Colombian coffee production goes are the United States, Germany, Japan and Italy. Coffee provides jobs for nearly 580,000 workers, growers. Coffee farmers are members of the Federation of Colombian Coffee (FNC), an organization dedicated to the quality and reputation of Colombian coffee for over 60 years. The FNC is one of the promoters of fair trade.
One of the most recognizable varieties of Colombian coffee, besides Supremo, is Excelso, which means great in Latin. We offer coffee from the Hacienda Monaco plantation. Colombian coffee is simple and balanced in flavor. The mouthfeel of the body is heavy, almost like cream. The floral aromas are clearly perceptible. Colombian coffees are some of the best-selling and most recognizable coffees in the single-origin segment. The most important growing regions are Medellin, Huila, Santander, Popayan and Nariño. Colombia's growing areas are diverse, stretching from north to south along the Cordillera mountain range.
The excelso (Latin for "high") designation is a guarantee of quality, but only on the condition that you buy from a roastery or fresh-roasted coffee shop. Chain store brands often lower their prices by selling old, dark roasted coffee. As you know, the older the coffee, the lower the price and this is also the case here. There is a saying in the coffee world that green coffee beans should be stored for about 15 months, roasted coffee 15 days and ground coffee 15 minutes. Freshly roasted coffee tastes better.
Sochaccy.co coffee shop offers you Colombia Excelso, we are sure that this is the highest quality coffee. We recommend coffee beans roasted to medium. Please note that we grind the beans just before brewing, then the coffee retains a maximum of its qualities, which is especially important for Colombian coffee. Is this the best coffee in the world? No one knows, but it's certainly one of the coffees to start your adventure with fresh-roasted single-origin coffees. We invite you to share your opinion on coffee - your reviews will help customers choose their best coffee even faster.
