Wpływ poziomu mielenia kawy na jej smak

      Przewodnik po poziomie mielenia

Dobór odpowiedniego stopnia mielenia kawy ma ogromne znaczenie dla tego, co finalnie wyląduje w Twojej filiżance. W Palarni Kawy Sochaccy dobrze o tym wiemy - dlatego dajemy Ci aż 7 poziomów mielenia do wyboru, żebyś mógł dopasować je dokładnie do swojego gustu i sposobu parzenia.

      Dlaczego stopień mielenia ma znaczenie?

      Czas ekstrakcji

Dlaczego? Bo chodzi o czas kontaktu kawy z wodą. Odpowiednio dobrany stopień mielenia pozwala uniknąć kwaśnego „niedoparzenia” albo goryczy spowodowanej zbyt długą ekstrakcją.

      Smak i aromat
Jeśli chcesz, żeby Twoja kawa naprawdę błyszczała smakiem, dobierz mielenie do jej charakteru.

Kenya Select - African subtlety encapsulated in beans

Not every coffee greets us with such an expression - but Kenya Select definitely manages to attract attention. It's a bean coffee that, on the one hand, represents the essence of Kenyan tradition, and on the other - shows the modern face of specialty coffee. At Sochaccy Artisan Coffee Roasters, we've come to love it for its crystal-clear profile, citrus notes and creamy texture, which give everyday brewing a unique dimension.

Kenyan coffees have held a special place in the hearts of coffee aficionados for decades. No wonder - the country is a jewel in the crown of the African coffee world, famous for its plantations above 1,600 meters above sea level, fertile soils of volcanic origin and the precise work of small farms. Kenya Select comes from recognized regions: Nandi, Kiambu and Kericho, where the varied climate, regular rainfall and rich soil create an ideal environment for the SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 and Batian varieties.

For many farmers in Kenya, coffee is not just a source of income - it's part of identity and culture. Kenya Select is the result of a collaboration of many producers - from small plots to larger farms such as Dao Nandi Estate, Ngemwa Estate, Ithareini Estate and Kapkoin Factory. Together they form a cohesive regional blend that perfectly captures the diversity of Kenya's coffee landscape. You could say it's a composition of many flavors, working like a well-coordinated orchestra.

The beans are processed using the fully washed method, which gives the coffee its clarity and precision of flavor. Once harvested - usually between October and December - the cherries are carefully selected, fermented and dried naturally on raised African tables. The result? An infusion of fine tea character with accents of black tea, milk chocolate and citrus. Light floral notes and a mild sweetness complete the picture of this elegant, versatile coffee.

In quality testing, Kenya Select scored 83.25 on the SCA scale - a very solid score for a regional coffee. It was appreciated for its purity, consistency, delicate sweetness and well-balanced character. It's a coffee that delights in all the best of Kenyan grains, but in a more approachable, less aggressive version - perfect for everyday use. For those who appreciate subtly fruity and floral notes, without dominant acidity - this is a real gem.

As part of our Select line, Kenya Select is a proposition aimed at explorers - gourmets who love authenticity and balanced elegance. This is a freshly roasted coffee, whose aroma is reminiscent of a walk among citrus trees, tea bushes and fragrant gardens just after the morning dew.

If you haven't had a chance to try coffees from Kenya yet - Kenya Select is a great way to start this adventure. And if you're already familiar with their style - you'll love the milder, but still distinctive character of this version. Brew it in an espresso machine, a dripper or a Chemex - whatever the method, it will always delight. And its taste will stay with you long after the last sip.
