Costa Rica Tarrazú Navarro Valverde Coffee Freshly Roasted Arabica Artisanal Coffee Bean
The coffee comes from Costa Rica, a picturesque country in Central America with a rich history and culture. The name Costa Rica means "rich coast," a reference to its beautiful beaches and tropical climate. Costa Rica's landscape offers many tourist attractions, such as the Arenal volcano, Manuel Antonio National Park and Corcovado National Park. Costa Rica is also home to world-renowned painter Francisco Amighetti, who became famous for his extraordinary paintings of landscapes and portraits of people. Costa Rican coffee culture is closely linked to the country and its people.
Coffee cultivation arrived in Costa Rica in the mid-1800s. The first coffee seedling was planted by Miguel Zamora, a Dominican monk, in his garden in Cartago in 1779. Costa Rica's coffee culture encompasses diverse growing regions such as Tarrazú, West Valley and Central Valley, where coffee is grown at altitudes ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 meters above sea level. Coffee varieties such as Arabica and Typica are mainly grown in Costa Rica, and coffee farms are characterized by a traditional approach to growing and harvesting.
Tarrazú region - a brand of Costa Rican coffee
Costa Rica Tarrazú coffee comes from the Navarro Valverde plantation, located in the famed Tarrazú region. Near the plantation is the Los Santos Nature Conservancy Area, about 10 kilometers away, which is worth visiting for its diversity of flora and fauna. Farmers in the Tarrazú region care about the environment, using nature-friendly and sustainable farming methods. The volcanic soil, rich in minerals such as magnesium and potassium, favors the quality of the coffee grown. The plantation is run by the Navarro Valverde family, with Eduardo Navarro Jiménez as founder. The plantation is a member of the agricultural cooperative Cooperativa de Caficultores de Tarrazú R.L., which provides its members with support and benefits related to coffee production. The plantation's fields are located at an altitude of 1,750 meters above sea level and planted with Arabica and Typica coffee varieties. The plantation is Rainforest Alliance and UTZ certified, and harvesting takes place in the months of October through March.
What Costa Rica Tarrazú coffee from Navarro Valverde Plantation tastes like
Navarro Valverde Tarrazú Speciality Costa Rica coffee is an exceptional beverage with moderate sweetness, softness and balanced flavor. Delicate notes of vanilla, apricot and orange acidity are intertwined with the expressiveness typical of high mountain coffees from Central America. In the finish one can feel subtle notes of dried fruits and sponge cake. The uniqueness of the aroma, its intensity and flavor are also due to the freshness of the coffee - the latest, freshest harvest, the roasting of the coffee on the day of shipment and instant shipping, usually on the day the order is placed.
Preparing coffee using different techniques will affect its taste. For espresso machines, a medium roast is recommended, which provides the most favorable balance of flavor notes. Alternative methods of coffee preparation, such as pour-over or café, can also affect the final taste of the drink, exposing different aspects of the coffee.
How to order coffee
What should you follow when ordering coffee from a coffee shop? First of all, order a quantity of coffee for a maximum of 2 weeks and in packages that allow you to pour the whole thing at once into the container in your coffee bean machine or the container in which you store your coffee. Do not store coffee in bags, even those with closures - they are leaky.
If you are starting out with fresh-roasted coffee, choose a medium roast, providing the most favorable balance of flavor notes. It's best to buy coffee beans to grind just before preparation, but if you don't have a grinder, choose your preparation method and the appropriate grind level from among the icons.
