Nicaragua Las Segovias Coffee Freshly Roasted Arabica Artisanal Coffee Bean
Nicaragua is the energy of volcanoes, the richness of colonial architecture and the scent of jasmine wafting everywhere from the blooming coffee flowers. Costa Rica is the largest country in Central America.
Coffee came to Nicaragua in 1790, brought by Catholic missionaries, and because of its excellent climatic conditions, it quickly became one of Nicaragua's most important export commodities.
The specialty coffee, Nicaragua Las Segovias, came to Sochaccy Coffee Roasters from the Finca Las Segovias plantation near Mozonte, in the Nueva Segovia region. The region lies on the border with Honduras. The processing station, called Beneficio de Cafe Las Segovias sometimes referred to as a mill, is where the top skin is removed from the harvested coffee berry bushes, exposing the green coffee beans.
Finca Las Segovias is located in Ocotal and is owned by manager Luis Balladeras Moncada. Luis not only owns the processing station, but also owns several plantations in the region - hence he is particularly attentive to the interests of local growers - he knows their work from the ground up. An expression of his concern was the donation of all the prize money to the local community he received when his coffee won the Nicaraguan Cup of Excellence competition. Luisa Balladeras Moncada is now a second generation coffee farmer. Finca Las Segovias is located in an extremely picturesque location surrounded by mountain ranges. What sets Finca Las Segovias apart is its focus on detail, carefully cataloging each harvest. By being meticulous at every stage of coffee processing, Luiz, succeeds in the tough competition of specialty coffee.
Las Segovias coffee plantation, is located at an altitude of 1,550-1,800 meters above sea level. The coffee is a variety of arabica Catuai, processed by the wet ( washed ) method, after washing the coffee is dried for 14 days on special open-air terraces. The coffee was harvested between December and March 2018/2019.
Freshly roasted Nicaragua Las Segovias coffee is full, round body, flavor notes of dried fruits, cherries, chocolate - sweet, delicate, bright acidity.
