Ethiopia boasts a remarkable variety of coffees that have gained worldwide recognition. One of the most famous people to come from the country is Haile Selassie, the former emperor of Ethiopia, who was a source of inspiration for many and a symbol of the struggle for independence.

    In Ethiopia, coffee is an important part of daily life and a unique social ritual. The people of the country appreciate coffee with its rich flavor and aroma, and their traditional coffee brewing ceremonies are a unique experience for anyone who has the opportunity to experience them.

    In Ethiopia, coffee is grown in different regions, and each region has its own unique flavor characteristics. The coffees of Ethiopia vary not only from region to region, but even from farm to farm or coffee processing station to coffee station.

    Sidamo - a region of unique coffees

    The Sidamo region is a fertile highland where coffee is grown at altitudes of 1,550 to 2,200 meters above sea level.     Sidamo Waru Ethiopian coffee comes from the Waru processing station, established in 2018 by Mr. Kallon near Kebele. The processing station is located at an altitude of nearly 2,000 meters above sea level, and the coffee is supplied to the station by nearly 1,000 farmers who grow coffee at altitudes of 1,900 - 2,000 meters above sea level. Sidamo Waru's Ethiopia coffee is a variety of Heirloom arabica coffee, which owes its uniqueness to the diversity of natural coffee varieties growing in Ethiopia.
