Coffee from Rwanda: aromatic discovery in our coffee shop Sochaccy.co

Rwanda is a picturesque country in the heart of Africa, known for its hot springs, lush rainforests and rich history. An unforgettable figure from Rwanda is Immaculée Ilibagiza, author of the moving book "Left to Tell." The country offers not only beautiful landscapes, such as the Volcanoes National Park, but also delicious coffee, an important part of Rwanda's social and economic culture.

The traditional method of brewing coffee in Rwanda is to boil the coffee with sugar and honey. The country's people appreciate the rich flavor of coffee, and its consumption not only has a taste value, but also serves a social function. There are many coffee cooperatives in Rwanda, staffed by small farmers who are responsible for growing and processing the beans.

An example of such a cooperative is Abokamu, which runs the Karisimbi processing station. An amusing story related to coffee from this country tells how Rwandan rulers used coffee to convey secret messages among themselves, adding special ingredients to the brew to symbolize a particular message content.

Coffee cultivation in Rwanda is concentrated around Lake Kivu and in the south of the country, where farmers in the Gicumbi region, located on the border with the Congo, grow Red Bourbon arabica coffee at an altitude of 2,000-2,200 m. The beans from this region differ from others in their flavor, which combines notes of black tea, sweetness and bright citrus acidity.

Freshly roasted coffee from the Gicumbi region: an exceptional choice for connoisseurs

At our coffee roaster Sochaccy.co we offer exceptional beans from the Gicumbi region, grown on the slopes of the Karisimbi volcano. The altitude at which the coffee grows promotes even drying of the beans, which translates into an exceptional taste of freshly roasted coffee.

Using the fully washed method, the top part of the coffee berry is removed, resulting in a clean, distinct flavor profile. Rwanda - Karisimbi AB Arabica coffee, available in our Sochaccy.co coffee shop, is a unique choice for fresh-roasted coffee lovers who appreciate exotic flavor notes from African crops.

By choosing our coffee, you are supporting local farmers from Rwanda, who are associated in cooperatives, taking care of the highest standards of cultivation and processing of beans. As a result, you can enjoy not only an exceptional taste, but also the knowledge that your freshly roasted coffee is making a positive impact on local communities.

If you are looking for a coffee that will surprise you with its richness of flavor and aroma, don't hesitate to order our Rwanda - Karisimbi AB Arabica coffee at Sochaccy.Co. store. Not only will you experience the unique taste of Rwanda in your cup, but you will also contribute to supporting local farmers and their families.

Discover the world of Rwandan coffee and indulge yourself with a cup of the unique beverage. Our coffee shop Sochaccy.co guarantees that you will fall in love with the unique Rwanda coffee - Karisimbi AB Arabica.

      Plantation

The Rwanda - Karisimbi AB Arabica coffee plantation, available at the Sochaccy.Co store, is located in the Northern Province of Rwanda, in the Gicumbi region, near the border with Congo. This unique plantation lies at an altitude of between 2,000 and 2,200 meters above sea level, which is extremely favorable for the crop, as the lower temperatures allow the beans to dry more evenly. The Karisimbi processing station, established in 2005, belongs to the Abokam family cooperative, which brings together nearly 300 independent farmers. The plantations are owned by small farmers in Rwanda who are affiliated with the cooperative, ensuring the highest standards of coffee cultivation and processing. The plantations are planted with the Red Bourbon arabica coffee variety, which originated in Ethiopia. Hand harvesting is used in the cultivation of this coffee, and the top part of the coffee cherry is removed using the fully washed method.

Flavor notes of the coffee on offer

Rwanda coffee - Karisimbi AB Arabica from the Sochaccy.co coffee shop is characterized by unique flavor notes. In its taste you can detect notes of black tea, sweetness and bright citrus acidity. For those starting out with coffee straight from the roaster, we recommend a medium roast level, as it provides the best balance between acidity and sweetness. Enjoy this unique coffee freshly roasted from our coffee roastery and see for yourself its extraordinary taste qualities.

What should you follow when ordering coffee?

When ordering coffee in our coffee shop of coffee roaster Sochaccy.co, it is useful to know what quantity of coffee to order, what roast to choose and what grinding level is appropriate. It is best to order a quantity of coffee for a maximum of 2 weeks and in packages that allow you to pour the whole thing at once into the container in your coffee bean machine or the container in which you store your coffee. Avoid storing coffee in bags, even those with closures - they are leaky. If you are starting out with fresh-roasted coffee, choose a medium roast. It's best to grind coffee just before you prepare it, but if you don't have a grinder, choose your coffee preparation method from the icons.
