      Coffee Kenya Reserved - Sochaccy Artisanal Coffee Roastery

      KenyaReserved is an excellent premium Arabica coffee sourced from the renowned Nyeri and Kirinyaga regions of central Kenya. These areas are famous for producing some of the best coffee in the world. The beans are grown on fertile volcanic soils at altitudes of 1,700 to 1,900 meters above sea level, which guarantees the coffee a unique depth of flavor and aroma. The region's peculiar climate, characterized by moderate temperatures and abundant rainfall, is conducive to the development of beans with a complex flavor profile.

      This coffee is the result of a collaboration between two recognized farmer cooperatives: New Gikaru Farmers Cooperative Society and Mutira Farmers Cooperative Society. The beans are processed at three well-known processing stations: Kahuro, Kagumo and Mugaya. Thanks to years of tradition and the diligence of local farmers who hand-pick the coffee berries, each batch of coffee impresses with its high quality and unique character.

      Kenya Reserved specialty offers a unique taste experience. It is distinguished by an intense and rich profile, dominated by notes of red currant and vanilla, complemented by subtle floral accents and refreshing citrus. This coffee is characterized by a full body, intense acidity and a sweet, long aftertaste that lingers on the palate, offering an unforgettable experience.

      In the sensory evaluation, Kenya Reserved coffee earned high marks. Aroma and flavor were rated 8 points, while aftertaste, balance and body were rated 7.75 points. Purity, sweetness and uniformity reached a maximum score of 10 points. The overall score is 85.00 points, indicating its excellent quality and complexity.

      Kenya Heritage of the Nyeri and Kirinyaga Regions

      The Nyeri and Kirinyaga regions are emblematic of Kenya's coffee tradition. Their fertile volcanic soils and mountainous landscape create ideal conditions for growing coffee. The Kirinyaga region, whose name means "white mane" in the Kikuyu language, is located at the foot of Mount Kenya, and the snow covering the peak provides mineral-rich water that affects the quality of the soil. The Nyeri region, with its distinctive hills, offers ideal conditions for growing premium coffee.

      Processing stations, such as Kahuro and Kagumo, have been supporting local farmers for years, helping them to perfect traditional farming methods. Thanks to years of experience and attention to every stage of production, Kenya Reserved coffee stands out for its unique taste and aroma.
